Photoshop: Create Normal Maps


1) Open your original texture in Photoshop
2) Select Image->Adjustments->Black and White
3) Use the following methods to try to get a good contrast between light (high) and dark (low) spots:

A) Image->Adjustments->Levels
B) Image->Adjustments->Tone Curve
C) Image->Adjustments->Exposure

4) Filter->3D->Generate Normal Map
